Barry qualified as a horticulturist from  the National Botanic Gardens before specialising in garden design so it’s not surprising that planting is such an important element of our gardens. We wrap almost all of our structures with  planting and favour the positioning of seating areas throughout the garden so that our clients are enticed away from the structure of the house to relax literally in and amongst the plants. We believe that it is this connection with plants more than any other element that creates the  warm and welcoming environment that we need to give us a retreat from the concerns of our busy lives.

We plant mature specimen trees and shrubs which offer  structure and privacy  to our gardens, while we place an emphasis on herbaceous perennials to achieve seasonal variation and colour. We plant quite densely  to accommodate the requirement for low maintenance gardens. In all cases, the customers preferences are paramount when considering garden planting.
